FORWORK

The project

Fostering Opportunities of Refugee Workers (FORWORK) is a pilot project aimed at the labour market integration of asylum seekers and refugees hosted in reception centers (CAS) in Piedmont (Italy) and Albania. The project, funded by the European Commission, is coordinated by the Italian National Agency for Active Employment Policies (ANPAL) in collaboration with eight partner institutions.

FORWORK-Italy involves a personalized labour market integration program for asylum seekers hosted in 90 CAS in the Piedmont Region, for a total of about 600 beneficiaries. FORWORK-Albania provides for a training program for a group of about 30 asylum seekers and refugees.

The project includes monitoring and impact evaluation activities, supported by data collection, surveys and a counterfactual evaluation design.
